South Sound Healthy Kids Movement
Our children today are the first generation that is expected to live shorter lives than their parents. Join the South Sound Heart Ball Healthy Kids Movement today to inspire South Sound youth to eat healthy, move more, and be life savers. Together we will create a community of longer, healthier lives.
Local Impact
This year, thanks to our generous sponsors and volunteers, the American Heart Association is implementing programs in the community that are improving the health of the South Sound community. These programs include CPR training for elementary and middle school students and an art program which teaches elementary school students the importance of eating healthy and colorful foods. In addition, we are asking all event patrons bring a new athletic ball to the event to be gifted to youth in our community to promote physical activity, build self-esteem, and improve social skills.
Get Involved
The 2019 South Sound Heart Ball is a celebration of the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association. More than 400 community members will come together at the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma on April 26 for a night of networking, awareness, and supporting heart and stroke research, education, and advocacy in the South Sound region.
All campaign sponsors have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in our community by implementing a local program that will help improve the health of the South Sound. Together we can make a difference.
